What is this tree called?
Clues: Located in the grounds of Hotel del Coronado, San Diego. Featured in Marilyn Monroe's film 'Some like it hot'. The cameramen apparently cut off some limbs and the tree punished them with red sap!
This is an amazing bouganvillea tree/bush that is growing in the famous courtyard at the Hotel del Coronado near San Diego

Ok, so it's called the Dragon tree. Don't ask me now, there's no resemblance to a dragon at all.
Did try looking up 'Some like it hot'. Got everything else but the tree!
The pic brings to mind a Hokkien phrase meaning spiky hair and sounds like someone's name... guess who?
