Has anyone read the Star newspaper about a Teresian alum successfully swimming the English Channel with a relay team in 13 hours and 56 mins on Sept. 13th, 2006? She's our age! The administrator met her briefly. Can we get hold of the article for a good read? Ok, found the web page: http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2006/9/15/nation/15441667&sec=nation
Dr. Tan, I agree with you, we can do whatever we want to do if we put our mind into it. I don't know if my lecturing - 'if there's a will there's a way' will bring any gain. We shall see.

I kaypo-kaypo had posted the article from the Star newspaper for easier viewing and a more permanent posting as the links to the Star are known to be 'broken' after a period of time.
Her feat is certainly an inspiration to us all. Now where's my swimming cap ... hehee ;o)
Yes! She deserves our accolade. And she is a perfect illustration of one who can overcome FEAR. The passage by Marianne Williamson is so apt here as said by Apa Itu. Btw, who are you Apa Itu? I do like to know your identity. Feel free to email me at thedtan@singnet.com.sg. I guarantee your anonymity. Well done for directing us to this article in The Star tabloid (which is not available in Singapore).
